ntelligent sex robots have been present in science fiction stories for a long time. Movies such as Blade Runner A.I. (Artificila intelligence) and I.K.U. have all included robot characters created for sex. It may or may not surprise you that A.I. geared toward sex has been in development for the past twenty years. Douglas Hines, founder of True Companion has been in the Artificial intelligence field for a long time and has been developing “sex robots” for profit for a while now.
These robots have silicone skin are 5 feet, 7 inches tall, 120lbs, and “have a full C cup”….ahem. These robots move like a real person but aren’t capable of walking just yet. They do understand different languages and can be programmed to learn a variety of topics as well as tactile responses. Robotic movement are built into “the three inputs” and a mechanical heart powers a liquid cooling system.

Thousands of Dolphins killed in the name of tradition!

The Faroe Islands of Denmark have practiced a tradition called "Grindadrap" for a long time but now this tradition is coming under fire from several environmental and animal rights activist groups. Grindadrap is organized by the community and the hunt takes place every couple years. During the hunt several hundred whales are killed and often there is a surplus of whale meat that is left on the island's shore. Typically the hunters use boats to herd the whales into a bay or the bottom of a fjord. When the whales reach shallow water they are greeted by the islanders with 2.2 kg metal hook gaffs which are used to hold the whale in place while another islander cuts the whale to the spine using a 15 cm knife. Faroese legislation has also permitted the islanders to hunt certain species of small Cetaceans (Dolphins) which islanders kill using shotguns. The whale/dolphin hunt is a festive occasion for the Faroe islanders and children are given the day off for the occasion. Oddly in 2008 the chief medical officers of the Faroe Islands have recommended that pilot whales and dolphins no longer be considered fit for human consumption because of the level of toxins in the whales.

Audio Visual 3-d headset for gamers!

So I stumbled on this (without the aid of the website) and thought it was the coolest techie type gadget I've seen in a while. I've wanted one of these for a long time and didn't even know they were already in production! Basically it's a audio visual headset! I've always wanted virtual reality to exist ever since lawn mower man and this comes pretty close. I'm a casual gamer and this would really make Eve and DDO really fun to play. This would be really cool in first person mode! And yes I'm eagerly waiting for Dust 514 to be released... Ha well anyway there are two different kinds of headsets this company invented one is for 3-d which ...basically turns anything on your monitor into 3-d and the other which is basically a monitor in the eyepiece.

I'm wary of the 3-d headset because it seems like it might be kind of janky. But a good isolated eyepiece monitor would rock and I'm hoping eDimensional can pull it off. This company has some other cool tech gadgetry as well.
